KAYO MANSON-TOMPKINS was a former senior associate for over 15 years with the Santa Ana law firm of Dreyfuss, Ryan & Weifenbach, PLC, formerly known as Cameron & Dreyfuss, formerly known as Cameron, Dreyfuss & Wolf, a general real estate/business litigation firm. Ms. Manson-Tompkins earned her B.A. from California State University, Los Angeles, and her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. She has handled residential civil litigation, with particular emphasis on evictions (including complex litigation issues stemming from evictions), non-judicial foreclosures, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure, and mobile home foreclosures. She also has substantial experience in dealing with complex issues concerning non-judicial foreclosures, in addition to bankruptcy matters affecting foreclosures and evictions. In addition, she has handled surplus distribution matters, including interpleaders, as well as surplus retrieval matters.

Kayo has been a speaker at T.D. Service Company seminars, and a speaker at California Trustee’s Association meetings. She has been a faculty speaker for the National Business Institute, Lorman Education Services and a regular panelist and lead facilitator for the USFN at its Regional and National Seminars. In addition, she has been a speaker at the 2002 and 2003 REOMAC Spring Conferences, and a guest speaker at an SCMBA luncheon.

Ms. Manson-Tompkins is a member of the State Bar of California, the Orange County Bar Association and REOMAC (REO Managers Association of California). In addition, she was past Chair of the REO/Evictions Committee of the USFN and created and developed the Eviction Timelines Matrix, with the contribution of its members, which was published in February 2002, and was on the sub-committee that created and developed the Manufactured Homes Desk Guide, State-by-State, with the contribution of its members, which was published in January 2004.
